this is one of my personal favorite pictures. i took it for the promt self-preservation because this can save lives when needed. the altered coloring of the alarm make the photo feel old. the texture of the wall in the background contrasts nicely with the smooth shiny casing of the alarm. the strong geometric designs draw your eye around the picture.
i took this photo right outside of our ceramics room in a deserted outdoor stairwell. the clutter and debris really appealed to me and the mystery of the closed door intrigued me to capture this moment. the bright blue chair to the right provides a lot of contrast against the blank wall and seems out of place in the alley.
I took this photo behind my school where the seniors used to make bricks with their names on them and hang them up along a wall. The prompt was self-preservation. This represents self-preservation because the seniors, who were about to leave the school, could leave a legacy with the school. Now there are vines engulfing the bricks but the bricks are still there and the legacies of those seniors are still very much alive.
